A 4-year-old boy in New Zealand accidentally called emergency services in 2021—not to report an emergency, but to invite the police over to see his toy collection.
The call amused dispatchers, who realized there was no emergency. Constable Kurt decided to visit the young boy and check out the toys for himself.
During the visit, the officer admired the child’s collection and even let him enjoy the flashing lights on the police car. Afterward, Constable Kurt jokingly reported back to headquarters that the boy really did have “cool toys.”
